Spray cooking spray on your knife to chopped dried fruit, dates, fruit twists,
                        licorice, etc.

Save butter wrappers in a ziploc bag and store in freezer.  Use them when a recipe calls for 'buttered' pan.

Baking cookie bars, brownies, etc., in a foiled lined pan, turn the pan upside down and place the foil on top and shape to all corners and edges.
Remove the foil 'mold' & turn pan right side up then insert the foil inside.

An easy way to tell if an egg is fresh is to place the egg in its shell in a bowl or wide glass of tap water.  If the egg lies flat on the bottom, it has a small air cell and is quite fresh.  If the egg stands up and bobs on the bottom, it has a larger air cell and is not as fresh.  If the egg floats to the top, look out!  The egg may be rotten.

Spray your measuring cup with cooking spray before measuring your peanut butter for easy scooping.  The measuring cup can also be very lightly brushed with oil to have the same effect.

Place a piece of saran wrap big enough to cover your measuring cup to measure shortening.  Take the shortening in the cup upside down into your bowl and remove the plastic.
